Thank you for your interest in using Songs of Woods, Rock and Water in the classroom. We believe that this music for strings, composed by a Northern Saskatchewan composer specifically to celebrate Northern Saskatchewan, can be used with students of all ages. It has applications beyond music education. It can be used to enhance teaching units in many different areas of the curriculum. We're working on producing a detailed guide for teachers, so please check back again. In the meantime, consider playing a track or two from the CD for your students for the sheer enjoyment of the music. And if you have ideas for activities that you have used, we'd love to hear from you. February 12, 2008 We're pleased to announce that this CD has been recommended by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education to support the music strand of the Middle and Secondary Level (Grades 6-12) Arts Education Curriculum.
